The Latest Dogs Needing Homes
SAY HELLO TO MICKY the larges of the 3 abandoned in the campo. He is under a year old, and full of ticks but what a lovely friendly boy he is. Today we have had blood tests done, flea and tick treatment, a scalibor collar put on (these little ones are running alive with fleas) he has been chipped and passports being prepared. He will be wormed in a day or so and rabies next week. Then off for the chop. Sunday he is being bathed by my lovely groomer Eva and getting his nails clipped. MICKY would fit in with any home as long as he can be shown just what lots of love humans can give
MARVIN, WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT MARVIN EXCEPT HE IS NOT JUST TERRIFIED HE IS PETRIFIED OF EVERYTHING. MY HEART BREAKS JUST TO SAY HELLO TO HIM. AGAIN HE IS AROUND 7 MONTHS OLD. today we have had blood tests done, flea and tick treatment, a scalibor collar put on (these little ones are running alive with fleas) he has been chipped and passports being prepared. He will be wormed in a day or so and rabies next week. Then off for the chop. Sunday he is being bathed by my lovely groomer Eva and getting his nails clipped. MARVIN would really love a home with one or no other dogs so he can be shown just what lots of love humans can give.
This is Dankor a big Griffon Pointer. He is an about 2 years old and has been waiting for a new home for a while now. He was in a shelter, but fortunately a foster was found in Toledo in Spain, where he lives now with 2 other dogs.
Dankor is a social dog, very affectionate and can’t get enough cuddles and play. When he’s excited he lets you hear the typical “Griffon bark”. He walks well on the lead, but he’s absolutely not a dog for a short walk around the block, he needs long walks as he has a lot of energy.
Dankor gets on well with other dogs, but unfortunately not at all with cats. Would you give this young boy a chance of a fine life?
Does anyone have it in their heart for a perfect Rotty boy? If so, meet hunk Colin. He’s 5 years old and so loving and full of fun. He only has 3 legs but it doesn’t affect his ability to play or walk

Male – medium size when fully grown
YAIKO and his 2 sisters TINA AND SIA were found alone and frigtened on an Industrial Estate near to the refuge.
Someone heard their cries and contacted us to help rescue them . We have no idea how they came to be there, obviously dumped as an unwanted litter .
They are all beautiful and like all Podencos will make excellent pets for some lucky family
YAIKO is the only male, he has adapted well in our puppy refuge and loves to play with all the others – they all love a rough and tumble and as all puppies are loving and affectionate to the volunteers that come and go.
They need a home , the refuge is no substitute for a home when they can be brought up in warmth and comfort and security and most of all love!
We don’t have the time to give them what they need. They are young enough to introduce to children and cats and to socialise
They will not be able to travel to the UK until early March and they will be too young to be neutered here but will have a passport, microchip and all vaccinations
This is Tikka. She was found in Xeraco on the beach, along with her sister Libby and Emily. Tikka is a very friendly small, terrier cross, weighing only 4 kilos. She made a beeline for me with kisses when I met her! We guess she is around 12 months old. This tiny girl only measures 26cm to the shoulder.
She is safe with Associació Guaita Xeraco at the moment, but we are now looking for a local foster or better still a forever home for this little one. She as yet has had nothing done, but this can be easily rectified.
Can you offer a helping hand to Tikka?
Please contact myself or Marie Carmen at L’academia Xeraco or on Whatsapp 669 690 702.
Tikka has found her forever home!
Little Lulu (passport name Fris) and her brother Sammy (passport name Gris) are possibly Pekingese cross or chi crosses that are around 7 months old and looking for a home together. They came from Ourense perrera but luckily weren’t in there very long. They are a tiny loveable pair that adore cuddles.
Home check and adoption fee will apply plus transport costs.
Grace, a beautiful Galgo, just 1 year old. Just a small girl. If you would like further details please send a message. Blood tested and all clear. Living with other dogs and cats.
MADAME, medium-small breed, DOB 01-01-2014, was found in an abandoned house with her 6 tiny puppies. Madame was trying to protect her babies and it took the volunteers some time to gain her confidence and complete the rescue. But Madame soon realised that the volunteers were safe and settled in well to the sanctuary. Madame’s pups are now all grown up and have gone to new homes but poor mum is still waiting. Madame gets on well with other dogs and cats but doesn’t really like to play and will potter about rather than dash about. We think her life would be complete if she had a sofa to relax on and a loving family too! Please like and share to help her find them. Thank you.
