This is HEIDI. she is 6 years old and is in good health, who has been in foster with Suzanne K Forster. Suzanne was supposed to foster only until February and now we are in September and due to work commitments Suzanne really can’t keep her any longer.
She will need to come back to me but with so many rescue dogs coming and in out this is not the ideal place for her. She needs a calm, kind home with one or two calm nice dogs. She’s a real sweetie. Timid but gentle and needs to continue learning to trust.
Can you foster HEIDI, all vet bills if any will be paid by the CHARITY but in an ideal world we really need a wonderful calm FOREVER home for HEIDI. Heidi has had such a bad start to life, and now she needs to find love and understanding

Meet PEPO – a real little cutie who is small enough to fit on any ones sofa or lap!

This little guy is looking for a home after being found abandoned near the refuge. It took us some time to encourage him to come inside , as he just sat there waiting almost as if he was waiting for someone to come back for him.

We think he has lived in a home but he had not been looked after as his nails were long and his coat matted.

He wouldn’t eat to start with until he realised we were there to help , and now he is settling in well into the refuge , making friends with the other dogs but it is no substitute for a home and he must wonder what has happened to him.

We are still getting to know him, but already we are seeing signs of a lovely friendly little dog who is eager to please and would so love to find a new home with a family that cares about him.

He will be neutered, fully vaccinated, have a passport and microchip.

Please message us if you would like to help PEPO and lets try and make his stay with us a short one.

Katrina (now called Betty).

Spanish Stray Dogs UK

KATRINA (now called Betty) is in foster in Cornwall and needs a home of her own. She is around 2 years old and is 13 kg approx.

She is a great fun & very loving girl and is good with other dogs. She is house trained and crate trained, travels well in the car.

What sort of family is Katrina looking for? She loves to play with other dogs so a doggie playmate would be nice, and some space to play outside. She would benefit from some more training (she loves her food so this would help with the training). A family who have the time and knowledge to continue her training would be best for her. She has a high prey drive so needs a secure garden and she cannot be homed with cats. She is used to children but of course like any dog needs to be supervised at all times with them.

If you think Katrina could be the dog for you please get in touch, she will be a fabulous addition to the right family.

Dero – Male, large breed, DOB 01/09/2014. Dero was abandoned in a town in Almeria almost blind and with clear symptoms of Leishmania. He is now stable on medication and has recovered well, although still partially sighted. He is an excellent dog; good, sweet and super playful! He walks very well on a lead and he loves cuddles! You will need a PPP licence to adopt Dero. Please like and share to help him find that forever family to comfort him forever.

Lolo – Large breed (Mastin X), 3 years old. Do you remember this lovely boy who was a well known stray that the sanctuary recently rescued? He used to walk the streets begging for food but he’s now all safe and sound! He’s a lovely, happy boy who gets on well with dogs and people. Please like and share to help him find a home.

MECA – Large female, DOB 16/08/2012. Meca was found in the middle of nowhere, wandering around lost and disorientated and unable to have the strength to carry on. She was covered in countless wounds and her ears had been cut which we know is a sign for possible fighting. She thankfully made a full recovery and is now a gorgeous, healthy girl. She is also a famous heroine; she led the volunteers to a young pup dumped in a rubbish container whose muzzle had been tied with tape so he couldn’t even make a sound to alert anyone. Meca was featured on the news for saving his life but still hasn’t found that forever home! She cannot be homed with cats and can be territorial with other dogs but is the most loving companion with people. You will need a PPP (in Spain)  licence to rehome Meca. Please like and share to help her find her forever home. Thank you.
